We begin with unknowing.
Not with answers, not with authority. We enter the space without a plan, but with open ears, open hands, and the courage to listen.
Sound is not a tool to teach, not something to control or master. Sound is a way to relate. It’s how we meet each other. It’s how we build something together.
We reject the idea that one voice leads and the rest follow. There are no experts here. No top, no bottom. Just people, together, making something that wasn’t there before.
Improvisation is not a trick. It’s not a skill you learn. It’s a way of being. It’s trust. It’s risk. It’s freedom. It’s what happens when we stop trying to get it “right” and start paying attention.
The role of the teacher? To step back. To make space. To co-create the moment. To protect the unknown and invite the unexpected.
This is not about perfection. Not about performance. This is about connection. About exploring sound without fear. About creating without needing to explain.
We believe in a space where learning means questioning, not answering.
Where expression matters more than outcome.
Where listening is an act of care.
Where everyone belongs.
No fixed path. No final goal.
Just a shared moment of making—and being—together.

“I am Monstra” is primarily a poetic text about sonic resistance, otherness, identity, and surviving with terrifying emotions – reflections on the under-self.It’s about silence being replaced by listening. It’s about improvisation, about living in the moment.It’s about a text, a narrative, and a sonic improvisation – a performance, a musicking.It’s about feeling one’s own monstrosity – living at the edge – and still finding a way to become visible.What does the underworld of your emotions sound like?How does your echo resonate?What does the very first sound sound like?When does invisibility begin to glow?Sound and text want to act like an echo returning from the depths – growing and reverberating where sound was once buried – reminding us of the irresistible force of the creature.“They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.”Inspired by Dinos Christianopoulos’ poem:καὶ τί δὲν κάνατε γιὰ νὰ μὲ θάψετεὅμως ξεχάσατε πὼς ἤμουν σπόροςThe seeds beneath the soil symbolize the underground power of resistance and revulsion – a force not immediately visible, yet constantly at work: against norms, against the system, against erasure.It is the force that transforms rejection into a new identity.MONSTRA is a declaration of the power of the hidden, of the sound of the unfinished, of the wildness of emotions –a first, raw, monstrous, and beautiful emergence.
